Job Description
The Medical Scheduler will handle a high volume of incoming calls and requests, both clinical and non-clinical, while delivering superior customer service and adhering to a one call resolution standard. Responsibilities include scheduling various types of appointments such as physicals, office visits, consults, hospital follow-ups, and CDL exams for over 100 multi-specialty physicians and medical professionals. The role requires effective utilization of resources to assist all callers, appropriate transferring of calls, gathering pertinent information for requests, and relaying messages to clinical staff. Additionally, the position involves handling emergencies as per specified procedures and daily use of NextGen medical software and Microsoft Outlook.
Hard Skills
- Customer Service experience in a Call Center or as a healthcare receptionist
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel
- Experience in healthcare settings such as call centers, medical records, or customer service
Soft Skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working independently
- Strong communication skills
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Poughkeepsie, New York (After 6 months of in-person training) then availability for remote
