Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday (40 hours per week)
- 100% Remote
What You’ll Do
- Submit and manage medical claims to payers including Medicare/Medicaid
- Review, appeal, and resolve denied or unpaid claims
- Post payments and process refunds
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations
- Prepare and transmit electronic and paper claims
- Follow up on outstanding claims and discrepancies
- Support patients with charity/Medicaid info and payment plans
- Maintain billing accuracy and compliance with HIPAA
What You Need
- Minimum 1 year of medical billing experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with billing software and payer portals
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Knowledge of substance use treatment preferred
