Schedule
- Contract role, remote within the United States

Responsibilities
- Contact payers for medical claims status, follow up on denials, and partial payments
- Obtain payer requirements to ensure timely adjudication of claims
- File claims with all required documentation attached
- Track and communicate changes to medical coverage and guidelines to internal teams and customers
- Process incoming and outgoing correspondence as assigned
- Verify, adjust, and update Accounts Receivable (A/R) based on payer correspondence
- Help identify error and denial trends and communicate with stakeholders
- Initiate the review/appeals process for disputed claims
- Partner with Strategy & Operations on customer accounts and claim patterns
- Maintain HIPAA compliance across all workflows
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in revenue cycle management (medical billing or healthcare/healthtech)
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes
- Investigative mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with excellent multitasking abilities
- Detail-oriented, with an understanding of when speed vs. perfection is appropriate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive, cooperative attitude working across all organizational levels
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $20–$27 per hour, depending on skills and experience
