Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Remote, work from home
- Two shifts available:
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM PST
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM EST
- Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch
What You’ll Do
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage communications via phone, video, email, text, and patient portal
- Submit a high volume of prior authorizations, particularly for weight loss medications
- Complete pharmacy refills, track labs, manage medical records, and follow up with patients per provider instructions
- Communicate empathetically and professionally with patients and providers
- Stay compliant with HIPAA and protect patient health information
What You Need
- National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) required
- Prior experience with CoverMyMeds required
- Experience submitting prior authorizations for weight loss medications (phone + electronic)
- 3+ years as a Certified Medical Assistant (telehealth/remote experience a plus)
- 2+ years of current Athenahealth EMR experience; 5+ years of overall EMR experience
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently
