Robert Half Healthcare Practice has partnered with a well-known healthcare company on the North side of Indianapolis, IN to secure a full-time remote Medical Accounts (AR) Receivable Specialist!
We are thrilled to partner with this established firm to secure their newest staff member! As an AR Specialist, you will be responsible for answering inbound AR related phone calls, following up on claims rejections and denials, identifying billing issues, communicating with insurance companies for status on outstanding claims, working daily correspondence work files, processing and follow up on appeals and resolving correspondence issues.
The schedule is: M-F: 8am – 5pm EST however flexibility is offered!
You can live anywhere in the US!
Main Duties:
- Maintain up-to-date patient demographics and insurance
- Process 50+ AR health insurance claims per day
- Complete patient billing and investigating denials
- Document activity in an accurate and timely manner on patient accounts
- Work with team leads to improve, increase, & achieve overall goals
- Review and prepare account receivables for collections
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Medical billing experience working with explanation of benefits (EOBs) and AR follow-up preferred
- Experience in radiology billing a plus
- Strong willingness to learn
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Excellent communication and strong problem-solving skills
- Capable of prioritizing work flow and able to ensure deadlines are met
- High school diploma or equivalent
