We are offering a role in the manufacturing industry located in Texas City, Texas, United States. The position is a contract-based Logistics Clerk, responsible for coordinating shipments, managing logistics, and providing administrative support. The successful candidate will be adept at using a variety of software platforms including IBM AS/400, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Outlook, and About Time among others.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the preparation and coordination of shipping paperwork
• Handle logistics coordination, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
• Use IBM AS/400, Management System, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Outlook, About Time, and Cargo software to manage and track logistics and deliveries
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and complaints
• Perform accurate and efficient data entry tasks, maintaining up-to-date records of shipments and deliveries
• Collaborate with the team to ensure the smooth running of the logistics department
• Monitor and report on any issues or delays in the logistics process
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations in the execution of logistics tasks
• Continually seek ways to improve logistics processes, increasing efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
• Proficiency in IBM AS/400
• Familiarity with Management System operations
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suites
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Outlook efficiently
• Experience with About Time software
• Knowledge of Cargo handling and logistics
• Excellent Customer Service capabilities
• Ability to perform accurate Data Entry tasks
• Experience with coordinating Deliveries in a manufacturing environment
