Description
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Resolve all third-party payment research requests received by any internal and external customer within 48 hours of receipt.
Monitors billing software for mapping errors and takes necessary steps to correct and prevent future occurrences.
Monitors billing software and resolves user related errors (including but not limited to incorrect posting dates, auto status update not performed and payment tracking identifier formatting issues.) Monitors error trends and reports them to the Cash Applications Manager.
Posts payments to accounts according to the line of service and service dates to ensure accurate payment status and accurate account activity. May also post denial information.
Assists in performing staff audits.
Identifies overpayments and notifies appropriate staff for processing according to policy.
Assist team members with more difficult or complex accounts.
Serves as back-up to other cash application analysts.
Keeps supervisor informed of areas of concern and problems identified.
Performs other tasks as assigned to support the goals of the organization.
