The Opportunity – Insurance Customer Service Representative (Remote – USA)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our growing team. Often the first point of contact for customers, the Insurance Customer Service Representative is responsible for addressing customer service concerns, inquiries and activities. In this role, you’ll be tasked with supporting Brokers and Clients with application and claim processes. You will also be tasked with managing the Certificate of Insurance program. While this role involves a variety of different skills, the primary focus is to work with customers to provide solutions for their continued success.

What you’ll Do:

Manage certificate of insurance requests from clients, cities, and rental houses

Support brokers and clients as they fill out new and renewal quote applications

Support clients with claims forms and providing guidance on claims process

Vet/pre screen prospective clients, via phone and online application

Cross train on Workers Comp team tasks, such as Certificate of Insurance issuance, review of client COI’s, follow up on outstanding requested information for applications, file organization

Assist with agency billing/invoicing process.

Develop, document and manage Notice of Cancellation process to avoid insureds going to collection

Manage mail review and organization process

Field calls to General Insurance line and Support line

Maintain agency files

Gain basic knowledge of Production Insurance Programs

Learn Wrapbook’s policies and procedures

What you’ll Have:

Strong customer-facing written and verbal communication skills

Seeks and takes ownership of opportunities to learn, acquire new knowledge and deepen insurance expertise

2+ years working in insurance

P&C License (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)

Experience with Agency management systems

Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily deadlines to satisfy quick turnaround customer requests

Nice to have, but not required

Ability to work West Coast hours

A background working on entertainment accounts

Experience working with Salesforce and Applied Epic
