If you’re an inpatient audit pro who can spot DRG issues fast and explain the “why” clearly, this is a clean remote lane. You’ll audit inpatient facility coding, give coder education through your findings, and help clients tighten compliance and coding quality.

Backbone moment: this one is not a general “audit” job. It’s inpatient coding audit with heavy emphasis on spinal fusion and DRG chops. If you don’t have CCS + inpatient DRG auditing experience, you’ll likely get auto-filtered. If you do, then your resume needs to scream: “MS-DRG/APR-DRG audits, DRG shifts, denial prevention, spinal fusion case complexity, education delivered.”
