This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work a shift between our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm PST with weekend rotation. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
We offer 1 week of paid training. The hours of the training will be 8:00am – 5:00pm PST, Monday – Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional service to our patients
- Arrange post discharge appointment within 7day protocol
- Responsible in creating authorization within 7day protocol ensure proper patient detail is entered
- Be able to work in a fast past environment with multiple duties on multiple software
- Be able to identify work priority while staying organized for prompts response in timely matter
- Consistently exhibits behaviors and communication skills that demonstrate Optum commitment to superior patient service, including quality, care and concern with and every internal and external patient
- Performs high level critical thinking for redirecting phone calls, auths ,and other issues that might arise
- Following departmental process and procedures
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
- Self-sufficient virtual environment
- Meets and exceeds productivity targets
- Uses, protect, and discloses Optum patient protected health information only in accordance with HIPPA standards

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- 1+ year customer service experience
- Ability to work any full-time, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm PST with weekend rotation including the flexibility to work occasional overtime based on business need
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of call center experience
- Experience with Microsoft software (EXCEL/TEAMS)
- Semi Knowledgeable in ICD-10 code
- Semi Knowledgeable in CPT code
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
