JOB SUMMARY
As a Help Desk Rep I, you will be an integral part of our Information Resources (IR) Client Services team, responsible for providing technical assistance and support for UT Southwestern users. You will be the initial point of contact for all IR related inquiries and issues, ensuring timely resolution and excellent customer service. This position is primarily remote with occasional on-site work (candidate’s must reside in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex), and your shift will fall within our support hours of 6:00am – 6:00pm. This role offers an opportunity to develop your technical skills in a healthcare IT environment. Due to the high visibility of this position our preferred candidate possesses healthcare IT experience and excellent customer service skills.

JOB DUTIES
- Responds to phone requests received by client services center from university staff and faculty for assistance with problems in areas of computer hardware, software, information systems, and/or telecommunications.
- Monitors pending requests to ensure prompt resolution of client problems.
- Maintains records and status of activities.
- Keeps abreast of current developments and changes in computer hardware, software, information systems, and telecommunications.
- Resolves occasional computer, telecommunications, or systems problems on site.
- Follows-up on resolved client contacts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
