Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time, Remote (U.S.-based)
- U.S. work hours (40 hours per week, graveyard shift required)
- $3,000 – $5,000 per month (based on experience and skills)
What You’ll Do
- Manage prior authorizations, referrals, and patient intake.
- Book, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments.
- Enter patient data, medical codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and billing details into EMR/EHR systems.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance information.
- Handle billing inquiries and documentation.
- Respond to patient inquiries and direct them to the right provider.
- Prepare reports, analyze healthcare data, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Coordinate the secure transfer of medical records.
- Support physicians with ad hoc administrative tasks.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in medical or pharmaceutical-related fields.
- 3+ years’ experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant (psychiatric clinic experience strongly preferred).
- Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal, C1+).
- Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare privacy regulations, and insurance processes.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and tech troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Technical setup: USB headset with noise cancellation, webcam, computer (1.8GHz/4GB RAM), wired internet (25 Mbps main, 10 Mbps backup).
