- Full-time, remote (candidates must be based in the San Angelo, TX area)
- Standard business hours with flexibility for provider inquiries
- Requires reliable, high-speed internet for telework
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary contact for providers and Medicare contractors
- Answer inbound calls and resolve provider inquiries and audit-related issues
- Make outbound calls to confirm receipt of records and provide courtesy updates
- Respond to written and electronic provider communications promptly
- Educate providers on process protocols, appeals, and compliance
- Research and validate provider contact information, updating records as needed
- Document all contact and activities in audit systems and tracking logs
- Escalate issues such as audit concerns, legal actions, or government intervention to management
- Support audit programs by ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and timeliness
What You Need
- 2+ years of customer service or call center experience required
- 1+ year of claims processing or billing experience preferred
- High School diploma or GED required
- Must maintain HIPAA Certification
- Strong written/verbal communication and customer service skills
- Skilled in data entry with working knowledge of Excel
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks
- Familiarity with healthcare and insurance terminology a plus
- Ability to learn CMS rules, regulations, and Recovery Audit Contractor program requirements
