Two Chicks With A Side Hustle

If you love building events that actually move the needle (not just “show up with a booth and vibes”), this one’s for you. SmithRx wants a strategic, hands-on events leader who can turn conferences, tradeshows, and client programs into real pipeline, real relationships, and real brand heat.

About SmithRx
SmithRx is a venture-backed health tech company modernizing pharmacy benefits management (PBM). Their mission is to make healthcare more affordable and transparent through better technology, smarter operations, and strong customer service.

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Remote (or based in Lehi, UT or San Francisco, CA)
  • Travel: ~35%
  • Reports to: Senior Event Manager and VP of Marketing

What You’ll Do

  • Own the end-to-end enterprise event program: strategy, planning, and execution.
  • Define KPIs and measure event performance, including ROI reporting to stakeholders.
  • Manage the full event budget, keeping programs on time and on budget while maximizing impact.
  • Lead conferences, tradeshows, sponsorships, client advisory boards, and regional field events.
  • Run event logistics: venues, vendor negotiations, swag and collateral production, shipping, and on-site execution.
  • Partner with marketing to create pre-event promotion, at-event engagement, and post-event follow-up campaigns that convert leads into opportunities.
  • Enable Sales at events with briefings, on-site schedules, and a clean lead handoff process.
  • Bring fresh ideas that help SmithRx stand out in a crowded, enterprise health-tech space.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 5–8 years of B2B event marketing experience (conferences, tradeshows, field events)
  • Proven experience owning large-scale events from concept to completion
  • Strong project management and budget ownership skills (organized, detail-forward, can juggle multiple events at once)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills (sales leaders, execs, vendors, clients)
  • Data-driven mindset with comfort using event tech + CRM tools (Salesforce mentioned) and marketing automation platforms
  • Builder energy: able to create new processes while still handling the gritty details

Benefits

  • Medical, pharmacy, dental, vision
  • Life + AD&D insurance
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • 401(k)
  • Short-term and long-term disability
  • Discretionary PTO
  • Paid company holidays
  • Wellness benefits
  • Commuter benefits
  • Paid parental leave
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

One real-talk note: 35% travel + high-stakes enterprise events = you’ll be “on” a lot. If you don’t like tight timelines, vendor chaos, and last-minute changes, this will chew you up. If you love being the calm person who makes the whole machine run and can prove ROI after, you’ll eat.

Happy Hunting,
