What You’ll Be Doing:
We’re looking for an organized and detail-oriented Events Coordinator to plan and execute Grow Therapy corporate events (ranging from 15 to 300 attendees). These events should be engaging, cost-effective, and inclusive. The ideal candidate can adeptly manage budget constraints, communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, and respond to unforeseen circumstances with creative problem-solving. This is a part-time, 6-month contract role with potential to extend.
In this role, you’ll:
- Work with the leadership team to develop and execute vision, roadmap, logistics, and all planning for company-wide, team-wide, and department-wide offsite & onsite events.
- Setting budgets for travel plans (flights and hotels and helping employees book the travel accordingly), transportation, team-building activities, meals, and more.
- Meet with leadership and create robust event itineraries, timelines, how-to documents, local recommendations, communication plans, and one-pagers so that the team has access to all information leading up to the event.
- Researching, sourcing, and managing all vendor communication related to hotels, activities, guest speakers, meals, and more.
Salary range: $50/hr
You’ll Be a Good Fit If:
- You have at least 1 year of experience planning and executing corporate, conference, and/or large-scale events for at least 250 people
- You have managed at least 3 large-scale events at one time
- NYC area-based is highly preferred but not required
- You have strong project management and communication skills
- You are extremely organized and have a keen eye for details
- You thrive in ambiguity and can successfully multitask
- You are proactive and can anticipate event and stakeholder needs
- You are comfortable using Slack, Google Worksheets, and Coda
- Bonus if you have worked in a startup environment!
