The Project Manager serves as a liaison between Suncoast Credit Union business units, vendors, and stakeholders to drive organizational strategies to new heights. Responsibilities
- Manage several concurrent enterprise-level projects to provide exceptional business value
- Manage project resources across multiple business units and vendors at high levels of functional and system integration
- Interact with each area affected by the project to ensure a smooth transition from implementation to operations
- Coordinate the appropriate people, processes, and tools to optimize the efficiency of the project team
- Provide credible leadership to inspire team members and create a cohesive environment working toward successful outcomes
- Oversee projects from original concept through final implementation, including business case development, project scope definition, and financial analysis to determine success measures
- Cooperate with the project management division to determine the appropriate methodology to serve the needs of the project team
- Coordinate resource sharing and resolve scheduling conflicts for projects
- Utilize intelligent penetrating questions to detect unstated assumptions, resolve conflict, and remove barriers
- Evaluate complex projects to break them down and achieve success within established timelines
- Develop new procedures or methods to solve inadequacy, being mindful of the impact on several departments
- Identify resolutions to situations with a variety of abstract and concrete variables where only limited standardization exists
- Interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, mathematical, diagram, or schedule form
- Identify concerns, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ensure adherence to quality standards such as costs, schedules, communication, testing plans, technical requirements, and risk
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and project leaders to develop resolutions or final decisions
- Mentor new project managers and project team members on the enterprise system used for managing projects and the portfolio
- Administer Project Management departmental responsibilities such as managing developed procedures and programs
- Support user administration for project management applications
- Cultivate rapport and social influence by leading with an understanding of stakeholders, end users, and vendors
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting the area of expertise
- Attend educational events to increase professional knowledge
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or finance-related field (A comparable level of experience, such as comprehensive knowledge of banking principles or financial products, may be substituted for education requirements)
- 3+ years of project management experience using templates and managing projects with multi-function teams
- Experience successfully implementing software and hardware projects using traditional project methodologies
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation is highly desired (If not certified, must obtain certification within a reasonable amount of time)
- Experience with SCRUM and Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects
- PMI-ACP, CSM, CSPO, CAL or equivalent is a plus
- Proficient knowledge of a Portfolio Project Management (PPM) using waterfall and agile frameworks is highly desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint, MS Project, Microsoft Teams, and Visio
- Ability to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines
- Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems
- Works independently with general supervision
