Schedule
- Full-time, hourly role (40 hours per week).
- Flexibility required: shifts available Monday–Saturday, 8:00am–7:30pm.
- Fully remote (secure workspace and reliable internet required).
What You’ll Do
- Screen patients to assess eligibility for financial assistance programs.
- Guide uninsured/underinsured patients through applications (Medicaid, Medicare, Disability, charity care).
- Act as a liaison between patients, hospital staff, and government agencies.
- Manage multiple cases with timely follow-ups.
- Clearly communicate funding options and obligations with empathy.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA.
- Meet productivity and quality goals while adapting to changing patient needs.
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Minimum 1 year of customer-facing experience (healthcare or financial counseling preferred).
- Ability to travel to nearby hospital locations when needed.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Compassionate approach to patient interactions.
- Reliable internet and secure remote work setup.
Preferred
- Experience in healthcare revenue cycle, financial counseling, or insurance verification.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Disability programs.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare accounts receivable.
