ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
JUUL Labs is seeking a Director of Category Management responsible for providing strategic leadership for the Category Management (Cat Man) team and driving performance to ensure the organization achieves its Strategic Objectives. The Cat Man team provides leadership, insights, tools and support for our Strategic Retail sales team. You will be responsible for leading the team to develop and communicate sales insights, analysis, tools and full sales story with accompanying presentation materials.This will come from leading internal team and coordinating across different departments to ensure optimal development and communication. An excellent Director of Category Management must have extensive experience in understanding consumer needs and retail environment, specifically the U.S. Convenience Store. They must have a commercial mindset and full comprehension of marketing and sales principles. The Director of Category Management will direct the Cat Man team to complete multiple sales analysis projects at the same time. S/he will design tools and ensure the tools are understood and properly used by the retail teams with their convenience retail partners. The goal is to support the Strategic Sales team to increase sales, profitability of business and to drive sustainable growth.
- Develop, train and lead a team of category managers
- Leads the development of consumer and customer insights for basis of retailer selling stories executed by Strategic Sales team
- Evaluates retailer programs. Identifies and measures key performance indicators of these programs
- Owns the process from insight development, story line creation, deck development, publication, and communication for retailer facing tools, analysis, and selling stories leveraged by the Strategic Sales team.
- Direct and perform analysis completed by the Cat Man team for use by the Strategic Sales team
- Reports to the VP of Strategic Accounts
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7-10 years of general sales, marketing and distribution experience in a fast-paced, high performance consumer goods environment
- 5+ years of Analyzing data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
- Deep knowledge of sales / category management tools and processes
- An analytical mind and strategic ability with the capability to communicate to a wide audience
- High level understanding of retail environment and Convenience Stores
- Ability to teach own team to delivery of insights
- Must have solid leadership abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time
- Must be able to build and influence interpersonal relationships (Strategic Sales team,
- Cross Functional Teams and Customers)
- Strong ability to develop insights from consumer research and retail analysis
- Ability to develop short and long-term business plans
- Advanced computer software proficiency (including: Word, Excel, Power Point, Sharepoint), VBA is a plus.
- Detailed familiarity with syndicated data, software, measures, and space planning abilities (Nielsen, demographic data, JDA, etc.)
EDUCATION:
University degree in Business or related field required

Salary varies by role, level and location, and is dependent on the cost of labor in a given
geographic region among other factors. These ranges may be modified at any time.
