What You’ll Do
- Review and process incoming payment denials within Enterprise Task Manager
- Investigate denial reasons using carrier websites and direct outreach to payers
- Prepare and submit appeals for disputed claims through Waystar and other systems
- Assemble documentation for provider-related issues and escalate as needed
- Research carrier policies and report updates that affect claims processing
- Support the development and refinement of denial management procedures
- Track patterns of errors or carrier changes that may impact reimbursement
- Consistently meet quality standards (95%+ QA) and production benchmarks
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of physician medical billing experience with focus on denials and appeals
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement guidelines, ICD and CPT coding
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and computer-based billing systems
- Ability to work independently while meeting production and quality goals
