This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8 am – 8pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
We offer on the job / shadow – based training. It would be an 8 hour shift Monday – Friday 8am-8pm EST. Duration for training is based on the individual candidate and their needs. More details on the training will be discussed further during the interview process by the hiring manager. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervises, analyzes, authorizes and directs the work activities for assigned employees
- Analyzes team performance results by reviewing productivity and quality of work performed by assigned unit
- Supervises and plans monthly team meetings
- Meets with individual staff members regularly to assess and align performance goals to ensure staff members are on schedule in attaining their goals
- Completes performance reviews yearly for staff
- Maintains staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and documenting job performance
- Develops staff by providing information, educational opportunities and experiential growth opportunities
- Responds to staff by assisting with questions; provides a course of action
- Analyzes and resolves inquiries from members and providers
- Supervises and directs work activities for assigned employees
- Responsible for maintaining an acceptable level of customer service, productivity and quality of work performed for the assigned unit
- Participates in developing, refining and implementing unit policies and procedures
- Maintains staff by orienting and training employees
- Provides data in preparation for unit budget; shares accountability for performance against operating budget
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Identifies methods of increasing auto adjudication
- Identifies and develops the skill sets of individual staff members for further advancement

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR equivalent years of work experience
- 2+ years of external / internal customer service experience within the healthcare industry
- 1+ years of medical claims processing experience
- 1+ years of Supervisory OR Team Lead experience
- Experience with using Windows personal computer applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications

Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with analyzing and solving customer problems in an office, claims OR customer service environment
- 6+ months of experience with previous OR current UMR (CPS) claims processing system (UMR is UnitedHealthcare’s third – party administrator (TPA) solution and candidate must be an employee of UMR specifically to have experience with the UMR claims system)

- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington or Rhode Island Residents Only: The salary range for California / Colorado / Connecticut / Nevada / New Jersey / New York / Washington / Rhode Island residents is $46,700 – $91,300.
