Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Remote role based in Ashland, KY (with flexible hours as needed)
What You’ll Do
- Answer inbound and outbound calls and emails, providing compassionate and professional service.
- Process and verify orders, ensuring accuracy in documentation and EMR entry.
- Educate patients on their financial responsibility, including insurance coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and pre-authorizations.
- Complete insurance verification and obtain pre-authorization when required.
- Navigate multiple EMR systems to gather documentation and update patient accounts.
- Communicate with referral sources, physicians, and insurance carriers to ensure proper documentation and approval.
- Maintain accurate records of calls, authorizations, and expirations.
- Resolve patient questions, complaints, and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Identify insurance or documentation issues and provide updates or additional options to patients.
- Meet quality assurance standards and key performance metrics.
- Assist with problem-solving, complaint resolution, and trend reporting to management.
What You Need
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare, insurance, billing, call center, or administrative experience.
- Senior-level requires 2 years of related experience, including 1 year in a Medicare-certified environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health plan guidelines preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
