What You’ll Do
- Answer inbound patient questions about billing statements and balances
- Post guarantor payments accurately
- Set up payment plans according to policy
- Research and resolve account issues reported by patients
- Coordinate with internal departments to complete patient requests
- Connect patients with financial counseling for charity screening when appropriate
- Communicate balances clearly and professionally
- Meet collection goals while maintaining excellent customer service
- Partner across revenue cycle teams to resolve issues end-to-end
- Document all communication and actions in internal systems
- Complete other duties as assigned
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED
- Call center and customer service experience (preferred)
- 1–2 years of healthcare industry experience (preferred)
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-resolution skills
- Comfort working across revenue cycle activities (customer service + collections)
- Experience with physician/hospital operations, compliance, or provider relations (helpful)
- CRCR certification within 9 months of hire (required after hire)
