Schedule
- Full-time position
- 10 days of onsite training in Albany, NY (required)
- Total training period: 6 weeks (paid)
- Remote work option available after successful completion of training
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls from the public, prospective enrollees, and authorized representatives, following all policies, procedures, and privacy requirements
- Process new healthcare coverage applications, including building household profiles, determining eligibility, and enrolling in health plans
- Handle life event changes, demographic updates, disenrollment requests, and special enrollment periods
- Provide translation services for non-English speakers and facilitate material requests by mail, email, or download
- Escalate calls or issues to appropriate staff when necessary
- Document all interactions in the applicable systems
- Attend required meetings and trainings to stay updated on program knowledge
- Meet quality assurance and performance metrics
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, plus 6+ months of relevant professional experience (or equivalent)
- Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken, read, and written)
- Strong data entry and phone communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks at once
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Familiarity with computers, phone systems, and headsets a plus
