The Customer Interaction Center Representative provides customer service support to Ostomy end users following surgery. The position collects medical documentation and patient information in order to facilitate referrals to180 Medical or another Retailer for Ostomy product supplies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contact clients to collect medical documentation, insurance information and end user data
  • Verify insurance for existing new patients
  • Provide information about ConvaTec Ostomy and Skin Care products
  • Handle incoming phone calls from clients regarding product and customer service issues
  • Scan and fax all types of documentation for patients
  • Request Medicare documentation on Medicare clients
  • Make entries as appropriate in Keystone, ConvaTec’s CRM system
  • Refer patients to ConvaTec’s Customer Interaction Center (CIC) Nurse team to address medical questions
  • Support Team Supervisor on miscellaneous projects
  • Perform follow up phone calls to clients after initial contact
  • Verify that client files are complete and all necessary documentation is in place
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma, college degree preferred, not required
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Typing: 35-40 wpm with 40 (adjusted) highly recommended
  • Possess medical administrative skills
  • Good communication skills with professionals in clinics and hospitals is required
  • Sales experience is preferred
  • Ability to reason, problem solve, and think outside the box
  • Multi-task a variety of issues
  • Good organization skills and can prioritize tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Good attention to detail
  • Reliable/dependable
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes in environment and industry
  • Team Player; work well with others
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Outbound / Inbound call experience
