Schedule & Location

  • Department: Patient Access / Business Operations (HB Support Services)
  • Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Hours: 40 hours per week (full-time)
  • Remote Option Available

What You’ll Do

  • Process undistributed and credit transactions in Epic (transfers, postings, offsets, refunds).
  • Verify and update insurance, patient, and guarantor information using workflows, email, Excel, Word, and fee schedules.
  • Contact insurance carriers or guarantors as needed.
  • Document account actions accurately and completely.
  • Maintain productivity standards and complete contribution totals daily/weekly/monthly.
  • Meet accuracy standards (≥97% on audits).
  • Review and process insurance refund request letters in set timeframes.
  • Handle returned refunds by canceling, reissuing, reposting, or applying to escheatment/miscellaneous income.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of revenue cycle work experience.
    • Preferred: account analysis, credit resolution, billing, or insurance follow-up in a hospital or physician office setting.
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of insurance payor remittances and Epic (preferred).
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Dependable, team-focused, goal-oriented, and adaptable.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Good finger dexterity and vision (20/40 corrected).
  • Lift/carry up to 20 lbs frequently and 15 lbs overhead occasionally.
  • Work indoors in a latex-safe environment.
