What You’ll Do
- Verify provider credentials through approved sources quickly and accurately.
- Process initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications.
- Enter and update provider information in credentialing databases.
- Maintain accurate provider demographics and monitor delegated entity data.
- Communicate credentialing requirements and status with providers or office staff.
- Identify and report credentialing issues or non-compliance.
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive provider and organizational data.
- Perform additional tasks to support credentialing operations as needed.
What You Need
- 1+ year of provider credentialing experience for a health plan.
- Proficiency typing 50 WPM and 135 KSPM on ten keys.
- Familiarity with NCQA, CMS, and state credentialing standards.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workflows.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
