Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am 4:00pm Pacific Time Zone. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform daily, systematic reviews of unpaid accounts for the appropriate government, managed care, or commercial source in the assigned accounts receivable, identifying the correct responsible party for any unpaid balances.
- Contact identified payer sources to resolve problems or issues with payment release.
- Focus attention on payers with complex follow-up requirements, accounts with high dollar balances, aged accounts, and other advanced follow-up scenarios.
- Transmit required documentation to third party payers for the purpose of resolving payments.
- Ensure all payer contact is fully documented in the appropriate software application.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of experience of Epic
- 2+ years of experience of hospital insurance collections
- Ability to work a flexible 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm Pacific Time Zone
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and navigation, mouse and keyboarding skills
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
