Job Purpose

The Collections Analyst is accountable for optimizing and analyzing cash collection from PowerSchool customers. This position serves as a customer contact regarding invoicing and payments, while handling large volumes of calls and emails. The Collections Analyst must be able to work directly with customers, and internal teams, while correctly analyzing invoices, payments, and credit memos. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively, work independently, and be capable of meeting strict deadlines.

  • Effectively manage a Strategic portfolio of customers related to open invoices and collection efforts
  • Make customer facing collection calls and/or respond to customer correspondence in a fast-paced goal-oriented Collections department
  • Research, resolve, and respond to issues and inquiries from customers
  • Effectively project manage internal issues to resolution by working with internal partners and stakeholders, in order to obtain customer payment on outstanding invoices
  • Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned portfolio of accounts
  • Provide excellent and considerate customer service to customers and business partners
  • Achieve and maintain high customer satisfaction levels and support customer retention through regular partnership with internal stakeholders, including Customer Success teams
  • Update and track management and financial reports on a recurring basis
  • Conduct data analysis to evaluate business processes, determine business needs and identify system requirements
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities in the collection process
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Collection Associates across the team with regard to process and policy

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Passion for numbers, data and customer service
  • 1-3 years’ prior experience in a business or data analyst role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to be detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to independently research, resolve, and respond to issues and inquiries from clients
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or NetSuite preferred, or equivalent ERP and CRM platforms
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities
  • Strong oral, written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex problems requiring changes in priorities and workflow
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at the same time

​A reasonable estimate of the base hourly rate for this position is $24.04 – $28.00/hour. The compensation range is specific to the United States and incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
