  • Full-time, remote role (Mobile, AL preferred but not required)

What You’ll Do

  • Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, CDT codes, and applicable modifiers
  • Contact clients when medical documentation is incomplete or unclear
  • Research and resolve coding edits, payer rejections, and insurance denials
  • Monitor regulatory and payer changes affecting diagnostic and procedure coding
  • Identify coding error trends and recommend policy/procedure improvements
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge through continuing education and resources

What You Need

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–3 years of experience in medical coding and/or auditing (outpatient or multi-specialty coding preferred)
  • Nationally recognized coding credential (CPC, COC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, or RHIT)
  • Understanding of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, CDT, and medical terminology
  • Knowledge of medical business and revenue cycle operations
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and email systems
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
