What You’ll Do
- Provide day-to-day support for clinical case managers
- Triage inbound referrals and manage the referrals process end to end
- Pull and manage fax requests for medical or clinical services
- Make outbound calls to providers/facilities to request clinical documentation and verify member details
- Request and track clinical info via fax/email, including lab information and results
- Access and navigate electronic member files using policy/ID numbers
- Determine member eligibility and task requests using established protocols
- Review case history documentation and interpret referral details
- Navigate multiple systems/screens to research and document information accurately
- Use automated job aids to follow procedures and research rules/regulations as needed
- Communicate with the clinical team to ensure providers receive responses when required
- Enter medical request data into the appropriate systems and follow standard procedures
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of medical records experience in a healthcare setting
- Basic computer skills (scan, organize, and access electronic health records)
- Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
- Advanced organization and time management skills
- Microsoft Office experience
