Role Overview
The Client Services Benefit Specialist “Champion” ensures every client interaction is handled with warmth, efficiency, and professionalism. You’ll serve as the main contact for carriers and internal partners, manage benefit data processes, and troubleshoot systemic issues—all with a relentless focus on quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality service and communication to ensure positive client experiences
- Respond to client and internal partner inquiries within established timeframes
- Manage client deliverables, progress tracking, and assigned work via company planning tools
- Handle inbound/outbound files and maintain SFTP setups for carriers and clients
- Review incoming data files daily, report carrier discrepancies, and execute client-specific processes
- Serve as primary point of contact for carrier partners, coordinating file updates and requests
- Identify root causes for systemic issues and provide resolution recommendations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a seamless client experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years in employee benefits or benefits administration
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, CSV conversion, concatenation, pivot tables)
- Experience with benefits administration or HCM platforms preferred
- Familiarity with carrier files or EDI processes a plus
- Ability to manage client relationships and resolve conflicts with professionalism
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Comfortable working under pressure during peak periods
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range: $16.50 – $25.85/hour (approx. up to $53,000/year based on 2,080 hrs)
- Eligible for annual bonus incentive plan
