Job Overview

Claims Service Ambassador II contributes to Wawanesa’s goal of delivering an exceptional and consistent claims service experience through the fair and equitable recording and adjustment of non-complex auto and/or property claims across multiple channels. The Claim Service Ambassador II position works remotely establishing and processing First Notice of Loss (FNOL) claims in a fast-paced high volume virtual call center environment.

Compensation: Depends on experience and varies by location 

Colorado Compensation:

  • The pay range for this position is $23.87 – $37.60 per hour, depending on experience.
  • This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek or more than 12 hours in a workday.


Nevada Compensation:

  • The pay range for this position is $25.06 – $37.60 per hour, depending on experience.
  • This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.
     

Washington Compensation:

  • The pay range for this position is $23.87 – $35.81 per hour, depending on experience.
  • This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.

Schedule: 

Training Schedule (First few weeks) 

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm Pacific Time 

Regular Schedule

  • Monday – Friday, 10:30am – 7:00pm Pacific Time 
  • Saturdays, 8:00am to 4:30pm Pacific Time 
  • You will be scheduled to work 5 days per week with two days off
     

Job Responsibilities

  • Handle a large volume of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner
  • Adjust claims from inception to completion in a proactive manner
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Within a limited scope, interpret policy wordings, determine policy coverage and ensure appropriate reserving 
  • Within a limited scope, investigate losses to determine liability
  • Evaluate relevant information from sources such as appraisers, third party adjusters, contractors and repair facilities in order to quantify losses
  • Within a limited scope, negotiate with insureds, claimants, lawyers and insurers
  • Coordinate services with vendors and service providers
  • Maintain accurate records based on company standards and policies within the claims system
  • Perform other duties as assigned
     

Qualifications

  • Exceptional customer service skills including empathy and concern for our customers 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral 
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry 
  • Strong negotiation skills 
  • College/University degree is preferred
