Schedule & Pay
- Remote, full-time
- Shifts: 2:00 am–11:00 am PT OR 4:00 am–1:00 pm PT (M–F)
- Pay range: $56,000–$64,000 annually ($26.92–$30.77/hr) + potential variable compensation
- Eligible for overtime pay when required
Responsibilities
- Review and process incoming member out-of-pocket expenses and Carrot Card transactions
- Collaborate with Payments, Care, Customer Success, and Finance teams to ensure accurate claims handling and outstanding member experiences
- Track claims and denials through their full lifecycle, escalating when needed
- Identify gaps in claims and reach out to providers for missing information
- Help members troubleshoot claims or eligibility issues with empathy and accuracy
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and internal standards for member confidentiality
- Provide structured documentation and communication to ensure transparency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Fluency in English plus one additional language (Spanish, French, Mandarin, etc.)
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in claims submission/processing
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive problem solver
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; thrives in fast-paced environments
- Innovative thinker who can adapt to evolving processes and priorities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with medical claims or insurance billing systems
- Ability to creatively resolve problems and think on your feet
- Prior work in healthcare or family care industries a plus
