We’re seeking a Claims CL Litigation Specialist to manage and control commercial lines claims litigation, with a focus on construction defect cases and other complex matters. This role may also be considered for Claims CL Litigation Counsel depending on your background.

Schedule

What You’ll Do
- Evaluate and manage litigated commercial claims, including construction defect cases
- Develop handling strategies and negotiate pending suits with plaintiff counsel
- Attend mediations, pre-trials, and trials as necessary
- Review reserves, claim values, and settlement opportunities
- Manage and review defense counsel performance, expenses, and legal fee bills
- Participate in pre-litigation and litigation roundtables, offering legal insights
- Present large-loss litigated claims to the Claims Authority Board
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctorate preferred
- At least 7 years of claims or insurance defense experience, including commercial claims
- Litigation and construction defect experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of bodily injury claim values and commercial insurance coverage
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Professional designations (SLCA, AIC, CPCU) preferred
