We’re seeking a Claims CL Litigation Specialist to manage and control commercial lines claims litigation, with a focus on construction defect cases and other complex matters. This role may also be considered for Claims CL Litigation Counsel depending on your background.

Schedule

  • Full-time, hybrid or fully remote (depending on location)
  • Flexibility in work hours, with occasional travel required

What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate and manage litigated commercial claims, including construction defect cases
  • Develop handling strategies and negotiate pending suits with plaintiff counsel
  • Attend mediations, pre-trials, and trials as necessary
  • Review reserves, claim values, and settlement opportunities
  • Manage and review defense counsel performance, expenses, and legal fee bills
  • Participate in pre-litigation and litigation roundtables, offering legal insights
  • Present large-loss litigated claims to the Claims Authority Board

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctorate preferred
  • At least 7 years of claims or insurance defense experience, including commercial claims
  • Litigation and construction defect experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of bodily injury claim values and commercial insurance coverage
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Professional designations (SLCA, AIC, CPCU) preferred
