Overview:

The Claim Representative IV is an intermediate Claims role under minimal supervision responsible for detailed understanding of applicable state and insurance industry laws and regulations. The incumbent will process, investigate, negotiate and settle a variety of increasingly complex P&C inquiries and claims. Serves as technical lead, may coordinate work of others, and develop solutions to improve team performance. May require examinations/licensing.

Representative This customer-facing (internal/external) role provides customer service support by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services. Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution. A representative contributes to team effort by accomplishing set goals.

General Profile:

  • Analyze claims to determine need for additional investigation
  • Deal / communicated directly with 3rd parties and customers in the investigation, negotiation and conclusion of claims in accordance with established procedures
  • Evaluate / approve / pay claims up to pre-approved limit dependent on products serviced
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical and problem solving skills and decision making ability
  • Demonstrated mathematical aptitude
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret medical and insurance documentation
  • Appropriate certifications, exams/licensing as required for P&C, including DP & GAP

  • Base Salary Range:$48,100.00 – $72,100.00
