What You’ll Do
- Receive and respond to prescription refill requests via phone, email, fax, and Telephone Encounter
- Verify accuracy and validity of refill requests in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Prepare and process prescription refills accurately following internal protocols
- Deliver strong customer service to internal and external stakeholders with clear, complete information
- Track and analyze refill-processing performance data and report trends to leadership
- Maintain productivity by meeting schedule and quality requirements
- Support clinical staff and managers with administrative needs, special projects, studies, and reporting
- Collaborate across teams to improve workflow efficiency and patient care outcomes
What You Need
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
- Extensive knowledge of Medicare Part D (record review, claims, billing, reimbursement rules)
- Working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy/Security rules and CMS security requirements
- Working knowledge of Medicare Part B and Part D coverage guidelines and payment methodologies
- Strong bilingual skills in Spanish and English (read, write, speak)
- Strong writing skills with high attention to detail (minimal typos/spelling errors)
- Basic PC/keyboard skills and comfort managing multiple communication channels
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet, and email
- Required certifications/licenses (role lists multiple credentials):
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with a current, unrestricted license required
- Medical Assistant: verifiable, nationally recognized certificate required
