What you’ll be doing:
· Recognize and proactively communicate potential cash application issues
· Research and assist in solving payment discrepancies and works with Credit & Collections to quickly and efficiently resolve issues
· Promptly process cash, credit and debit memos and use other documentation support when necessary to resolve account differences with customers
· Escalate large cash application issues appropriately
· Develop root cause analysis to proactively correct issues
· Actively document customer issues including customer payment issues
· Notify management of account reconciliation concerns
What you bring to the table:
· Basic understanding of accounting processes
· Ability to recognize and research billing problems and to identify component parts, causes and cost impact
· Ability to utilize computer system features to accurately research and document account issues
· Ability to identify and address concerns before they become problems and to propose solutions to the concerns
· Capable of being entrusted with confidential information
· Strong ability to communicate both orally and in writing
· Ability to be flexible with position duties and scope of work
· Skilled in systems tools or ability to pick up system knowledge quickly
· Proficient in Microsoft office applications
Qualifications :
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:
· 1+ years in Cash Application or Associates degree in Business or Finance related field
