Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • Business hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM PST (8-hour shifts, flexibility required)
  • 90 days of paid virtual training (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM PST, Mon–Fri)
  • May require occasional overtime

What You’ll Do

  • Contact insurance carriers and patients regarding outstanding claims
  • Prepare documentation and process appeals
  • Ensure accurate account setup in A/R software and payer portals
  • Investigate and correct prepayments; process refunds when necessary
  • Maintain compliance with payer procedures and reimbursement policies
  • Meet production and quality standards set by management
  • Manage assigned unpaid claim queues and resolve issues
  • Support special projects and additional assignments as needed

What You Need

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 1 year of medical insurance billing experience
  • Proficiency with Windows-based programs
  • Ability to work full-time during scheduled hours with flexibility

Preferred

  • 2+ years of medical insurance billing experience
  • Knowledge of CPTs, medical billing, and coding systems
  • Epic system experience
  • Strong English usage, grammar, math, and communication skills

Telecommuting Requirements

  • Must reside within Pacific or Mountain Time Zones
  • Secure, private home workspace
  • High-speed internet approved by UnitedHealth Group
