he Billing Representative is responsible for medical and ancillary product premium billing and accounts receivable. Positions in this function interact with customers gathering support data to ensure invoice accuracy and remediate discrepancies. Positions in this function also prepare and maintain records of accounts receivable, including receipts, claims and overdue invoices.
This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to work 8 hours between our normal business hours of 6:00am 6:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal partners and/or external customers/payers to resolve customer issues
- Resolve billing issues
- Reconcile discrepancies identified within customer invoices/billing and reports
- Generate and/or distribute reports and documentation to external customers/payers
- Demonstrate and maintain understanding of state and federal regulatory requirements as they apply to billing operations
- Demonstrate and maintain understanding of and comply with billing policies and procedures
- Analyze reports against existing billing data and make appropriate changes to ensure billing accuracy
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma / GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office Outlook (create/ send emails), Excel (create/edit spreadsheets) and Word (create/edit documents)
- Previous experience working within medical insurance and/or healthcare industries
- Willingness to work overtime based on business need
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of COSMOS, UNET/CDB, AR:M (Accounts Receivable), and/or BRMS
- 1+ years billing experience

- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
