This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Manually preparing charge batches
- Confirming, adding or adjusting charges on the claim
- Entering payments received at the physician’s office (co-pays, coinsurance, etc)
- Ensuring all practice site correspondence is received
- Verifying all required information is included on the claim such as date of service, insurance, procedure codes, modifiers, and diagnosis codes
- Validating all charge batches to ensure there are no validation errors
- Correctly batch printing and closing all charges and batches
- Resolving PM system and clearinghouse edits and rejections
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR 1+ years of equivalent working experience
- 6+ months of experience in a related environment (i.e., office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools
- 6+ months Revenue Cycle Medical Billing / Collections related experience
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and application of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers
- Intermediate Proficiency with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate multiple programs and learn new and complex computer system applications
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) on any 8-hour shift within the operating hours of the site 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Allscripts, NexGen, or Epic or other common practice software systems.
- Experience in Waystar Clearinghouse.
- Experience working with ambulatory physician coding and billing
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
