Job Description:
Billing Coordinator, Support Services (Med B) is responsible for obtaining and properly documenting all information necessary to determine coverage criteria and submit claims to Medicare Part B or Medicaid plans. Adjudicator must resolve rejections to successfully work claims through to processor for billing to Medicare. Individual must work in partnership with long term care facility staff, other Omnicare department staff, prescriber offices, patients and/or their responsible parties, and claim processors in order to fully complete routine job tasks. This position requires work within several different pharmacy dispensing systems and software programs.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
- Minimum: 17.00
- Maximum: 27.16

Required Qualifications
- Excellent computer skills requiring knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Fast and accurate typing skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
- Requires the ability to exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skill
- Demonstrate high level of integrity and professionalism to handle sensitive and confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with medical or Medicare Part B billing
- Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
