Schedule
- Full-time, remote
- Standard business hours, Monday–Friday
Responsibilities
- Accurately post payments, adjustments, and denials into the billing system.
- Reconcile daily cash receipts and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate patient accounts.
- Set up and manage access to payer portals for payment retrieval and verification.
- Collaborate with internal teams to research and resolve payment-related issues.
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for payment and adjustment activity.
- Support reporting requirements and month-end close processes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in medical billing or payment reconciliation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and internet navigation.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and billing software preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement policies and denial codes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
