What You’ll Do
- Support enrollees by phone with information about their healthcare insurance plan services
- Provide orientation and education on non-clinical coverage topics, plan details, and promotions
- Manage incoming calls and route members to the right resources based on their needs
- Document inquiries, transactions, actions taken, and outcomes in customer service systems
- Escalate unresolved grievances to supervisors or designated departments for investigation
- Support other contact center projects and participate in training/development sessions
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other state/federal health call center regulations
- Report any potential exposure of Protected Health Information to a supervisor immediately
- Complete required compliance and job-based training tied to regulatory and certification standards
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of customer service experience
- Fully bilingual (verbal and written) in English and Spanish
- Strong people skills with empathy, urgency, and follow-through to resolution
- Proficiency using computer-based customer service platforms
- Availability for a fixed schedule (Mon–Fri) plus holidays/weekends as needed
- Ability to pass a company-paid drug test after a written offer (drug-free workplace)
- Work authorization verification (E-Verify participation)
