Schedule

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Standard business hours, Monday–Friday

Responsibilities

  • Gather and verify critical member benefit details such as policy numbers, group numbers, and demographics.
  • Review insurance plans to determine coverage limits, pre-authorization requirements, and benefit specifics.
  • Contact insurance providers to confirm eligibility, coverage, and authorization processes.
  • Communicate verification updates, coverage limitations, and financial responsibilities clearly to patients or members.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of verification activities, including insurance details and patient profiles.
  • Investigate and resolve challenges with coverage, collaborating with patients, providers, and insurers.
  • Suggest process improvements to streamline benefit verification workflows.
  • Provide professional and empathetic support to patients and members with inquiries.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (required).
  • Less than 1 year of work experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Professional, Life and Health Insurance Program (CPLHI).
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS).
