Schedule

  • Full-time, remote role
  • Compensation: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour

What You’ll Do

  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before services
  • Determine copay, deductible, and coinsurance responsibilities
  • Obtain prior authorizations from payers for services, procedures, and medications
  • Accurately document benefit verification and authorization details in systems
  • Collaborate with scheduling, billing, and AR teams for smooth workflows
  • Communicate clearly with providers and payers about authorization status
  • Track pending authorizations and follow up to prevent delays
  • Identify trends in benefit issues or authorization delays and escalate as needed
  • Support denial prevention efforts by ensuring payer requirements are met

What You Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate/Bachelor’s preferred)
  • 1–2 years’ experience in benefit verification, medical insurance, or prior authorization
  • Knowledge of commercial and government payers, healthcare terminology, and insurance policies
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with RCM systems, EMRs, and payer authorization portals
  • Understanding of denial management and appeals processes
