About the Role

Quantum Metric is looking for an experienced Benefits and Compensation Specialist to join our team and be a key member of our People Operations team. You will be responsible for benefits administration, assisting with compensation management and helping innovate in the benefits and compensation function. This position will report to our Total Rewards Manager and support the entire Total Rewards function at Quantum Metric. The ideal candidate will have experience in the US and EMEA benefits and compensation. As the Benefits and Compensation Specialist, you will be responsible for administering benefits to our US and Global employees in the UK, Germany and Spain, including enrollment, education, and ongoing changes. In addition to the benefits responsibilities, you will also own the upkeep of the QM compensation ranges by completing ongoing analysis and benchmarking. You will be responsible for helping ensure that our compensation and benefit programs support the company’s strategic objectives and meet all legal requirements.

What you’ll do

The Benefits and Compensation Specialist helps to implement and revise compensation programs, policies and procedures to align with the company’s goals and competitive practices for a global employee population of over 400. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the company’s compensation ranges are updated on an ongoing basis so we are positioned competitively in the market. This is a hands-on role, and as such, this person will research job requirements and evaluate job positions to ensure the company is competitive in the areas of salaries, and work directly with various internal stakeholders. As the Benefits and Compensation Specialist at Quantum Metric, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our Benefits Programs including employee education, questions, enrollments, vendor communication, invoice auditing and more. This role will help develop and administer all of QM’s Benefit packages, including healthcare, dental, vision, wellness, 401K and/or pension plans, Vacation (Paid Time Off), Leaves of Absences, sick days, and more. Ultimately, you will help support fair and attractive compensation and benefits plans that help us improve employee satisfaction and create a productive workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Educate employees on QM’s available benefits by conducting meetings, answering inquiries and handling all issues in a confidential and timely manner
  • Assist with Wellness initiatives and programming, including occasional event facilitation
  • Be highly organized with the ability to manage multiple, and potentially shifting, priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop benefit communication materials and trainings for new and ongoing programs
  • Own all compensation and benefits data company wide, including entry and integration within our HRIS and insurance carrier systems and ongoing auditing
  • Answer employee questions around Leaves of Absence; ensure communication with employees is timely and managers understand their employees’ leave requirements
  • Partner with employees, brokers and vendors to provide a high level of customer service at all times; serve as the escalation point for all employee benefit programs
  • Leverage excellent communication skills to ensure that our benefits meet employee needs and provide the highest level of support
  • Assist with preparation for Benefits Open Enrollment and manage key deliverables to ensure smooth/seamless engagement
  • Report on and analyze complex data to support different compensation and benefit programs
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the external benefits market using data as a core driver of future benefit design
  • Think creatively about employee wellbeing and inclusion

Requirements

  • Bachelors or equivalent work experience, desired
  • 2-4 years experience in Human Resources, including experience with US and Global compensation and benefit programs
  • Experience with benefit plans, benefit open enrollment and processing
  • High level of commitment to quality work product, integrity and compliance
  • Hands on experience with HR software (HRIS) and required (Paylocity a plus)
  • Experience working with high-growth companies preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Project and time management skills, and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when dealing with employee queries and data
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment where change is the norm; strong multitasking skills, and flexibility to quickly move from one project to the next

  • Advanced spreadsheet skills and familiarity with other statistical packages
  • Compensation: $55,000-$65,000
