A Day in the Life

Position can be remote in the United States and will work central or east coast time zone hours.

Contribute to offering Medtronic business units services that support their clinical operations at an outstanding quality and efficiency level, contributing to their strategies for worldwide medical device approvals to introduce new products to market.

In this role as a Associate Clinical Report Development Specialist in MC2 Solutions development, your core responsibilities will be providing report design and development support for MC2’s core internal forecasting and demand management team, partnering with your teammates to secure our services meet the needed level of quality, accuracy, and availability.

In addition, you will contribute to offer our stakeholder report development and business intelligence solutions applied to clinical trials conduct, allowing the team to continue meeting expectations from our internal stakeholders.

The Medtronic Clinical and Regulatory Solutions (MCRS) function provides comprehensive support to clinical studies across all Medtronic Operating Units globally. Our Global Clinical Data Solutions (GCDS) team delivers end-to-end services including data management, solutions development, statistical programming, and technical support.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Develop and execute clinical data and operational reports with precision and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with Clinical Data Specialists, Statistical Programmers, and cross-functional teams
  • Design, develop, and test clinical reports, system interfaces, and clinical data transfers under supervision
  • Apply industry standards to define and implement reporting methodologies
  • Support team members in planning and implementing clinical reporting solutions
  • Provide technical consultation and guidance to vendors and project teams
  • Thoroughly review and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures and quality requirements

Must Have – Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
  • Relevant job experience
  • Familiarity with ICH/GCP/FDA regulations, including 21 CFR Part 11
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of programming languages (Python, .NET, C#, Java, R, SAS)
  • Understanding of systems development lifecycle
  • Proficiency in relational databases, with strong skills in:
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • SQL programming
    • Reporting tools (SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Power BI)
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities
  • Customer-centric approach
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

 Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$69,600.00 – $104,400.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
