Prenda is hiring immediately for a Customer Advocate (contractor)! The candidate is a self-starter with meticulous attention to detail, superior communication skills, and a desire to help others achieve their goals. They would also need to be available to work during the day and can work effectively in a remote environment.

Requirements:

  • Embody Prenda’s core values in every interaction
  • Ability to independently follow step-by-step process instructions with accuracy
  • Willingness to ask questions in circumstances that are unclear and/or require additional information to efficiently execute processes
  • Ability to use technology and online tools to process and interpret customer information
  • Utilize clear, friendly, and encouraging communication (written and verbal) to provide customers with prompt, compassionate, and accurate information
  • Willingness to work through potentially complicated and emotionally charged situations with deep empathy and a solution-focused outlook
  • Perform critical manual operations with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Approach learning from customer’ experiences through survey results, conversations, and action with openness and a commitment to improvement
  • Ability to use decision making skills to appropriately prioritize customer inquiries/needs, as well as when to refer support requests to other teams
  • Provide support through email, phone, SMS or Zoom as needed and understand when each platform is warranted
  • Participate in regular meetings (as needed)
  • Collaborate with other Prenda staff to ensure the highest quality customer experience

Desired Experience

  • At least one year of experience working in a role where you supported and responded to others’ requests
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to turn data into decisions
  • Able to approach difficult customer conversations with grace and professionalism
  • Mastery of communication via email and phone
  • Operates with a high level of empathy and integrity
  • Self-starter, resourceful and solutions-oriented
  • Capacity to adapt to shifting priorities and to remain flexible with ever-changing processes
  • Enjoy being on Zoom, talking to customers, asking meaningful questions, listening to customer concerns, and identifying opportunities to strengthen relationships.
  • Any combination of education and/or experience from which comparable skills, knowledge, and abilities have been achieved
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Evidence of connection to Prenda’s Background, Mission, and Core Values
