Schedule
- Full-time, remote (must reside in the U.S.)
- Standard office hours, flexibility may be required
Responsibilities
- Make high-volume outbound calls and send emails to collect past due balances
- Monitor account status using reporting tools and spreadsheets
- Issue monthly statements for balances, payments, adjustments, and interest charges
- Perform account/payment reconciliations and research billing discrepancies
- Prepare adjustments and write-offs for approval by Accounting Director
- Assist with repayment agreements for delinquent accounts
- Respond to inquiries related to account status and maintain accurate records
- Issue dunning and payment commitment letters for delinquent accounts
- Document all collections activity including contact dates, times, and outcomes
- Escalate delinquent accounts when necessary to Client Services, Compliance, or external collections agencies
- Identify potential bad debt accounts for review by Accounting Director
- Follow company Accounts Receivable and Collections policies and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 6 months of Accounts Receivable/Collections experience
- Experience with QuickBooks a plus
- Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional phone manner
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with tact and diplomacy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Compensation
- $16.50 – $17.00 per hour
