Schedule
- Full-time, remote (US-based)
- Must maintain a safe, quiet, and dedicated home office workspace
Responsibilities
- Make high-volume outbound calls/emails to collect past-due balances and resolve payment issues
- Monitor customer account status using reports and spreadsheets
- Issue monthly account statements and apply interest charges where applicable
- Perform account and payment reconciliations
- Research disputes and billing discrepancies
- Assist with repayment agreements for delinquent accounts
- Document all collections activity, including contact dates and account status changes
- Issue dunning and payment commitment letters
- Escalate delinquent accounts requiring Client Services, Compliance, or external collection agency support
- Ensure strict confidentiality of all financial and PHI data in compliance with HIPAA
- Follow company Accounts Receivable and Collections policies
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 6 months of direct Accounts Receivable/Collections experience (QuickBooks a plus)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully and professionally
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
- Must pass a background check and provide references
Compensation
- $16.50 – $17.00 per hour
